Healing is about returning to balance, whether that is on an emotional level or a more physical level. It's not just about eliminating symptoms because they in themselves can be pointers to the fact that something's not quite right. If your car's petrol gauge tells you you need to fill up soon, you can find that helpful and take action so you don't end up stranded.
It's about looking deeper and addressing underlying reasons for that imbalance. That could be a nutritional deficiency, stress, a physical or emotional trauma, a need to change some habit and create a more healthful one.
While modern medicine has an important role to play, it can focus on correcting symptoms rather looking at ways we have got out of balance and addressing underlying issues. Sometimes that approach is essential and life saving but for chronic conditions it can mean taking an increasing amount of medication. I believe conventional medicine and complementary approaches work best side by side.
In my years of practice I have trained in more physical-based approaches such as shiatsu, aromatherapy, reflexology and also in hypnotherapy, EFT, coaching and now Emotion Code and Body Code and I am a great advocate of an integrated body/mind approach. I love working with the Emotion Code and the Body Code.
My sessions can be in person if you are within reach of Foxford in Co Mayo where I work but can equally be conducted over the phone. Distance sessions can be followed up with an emailed report of the imbalances we cleared during the session.
